1806 Apr. 19 - 1890 Mar. 21. Truman Guild wrote poetry for the Litchfield Enquirer. A poem in his collection of school book contains a poem published in the newspaper on February 19, 1874 entitled "Jesus Wept." Guild was a surveyor, justice of the peace, carpenter, and teacher.
