(A “Prayer” for minor poets, in Bull’s own VERSE, was printed in 1916. See Series 2 - Publications).

Masefield forwards mail including a doctor’s letter, reporting that the American Ambulance Hospital in Neuilly has ‘deserving soldiers in plenty’, and a receipt for the purchase of an artificial leg, for veteran amputee “M. Leborgne”. Masefield annotates the letter with text of his reply to the doctor.

Note: “Censor 3331” opened and stamped this letter.
