Polly Ann writes from Eaton to her "respected aunt" to say she has never had the pleasure of seeing her or any other of Pa's relations except for Aunt [Nancy?]; Pa is afflicted with rheumatism and confined; Pa's family consists of seven children: Nancy Morency, Caleb Perin Merit, Polly Ann, Noble Conroy Ward, Fanny Minerva, Electa Eliza, Silva Eurelia; grandma and grandpa are in tolerable health; would like to see her but life is so uncertain.
