Scope and Contents
Three letters; the first from Lucy reporting who is interested in buying their horse and what they are offering. This letter also includes an attached letter from Winthrop E. Phelps about what is going on in the family. In the second letter Lucy discusses clothes and school purchases that need to be made as well as a description on how she is feeling. Also included in this is a receipt for a subscription to Eclectic Magazine of Foreign Literature. In the third letter, Lucy describes visits to friends, the selling of their horse, their son Winthrop wanting to go to a new school, and her current state of health.
