Scope and Contents
This folder includes three letters, two fabric swatches, and one wallpaper fragment. Lucy reports on household life and the children’s school in the first. There are also two letters attached to the first letter. One from Winthrop E. describing the daily activities at home and one from Harriet describing a new dress she received. In the second letter from Lucy,she discusses Winthrop’s correspondence with war widows and sends pieces of Harriet’s dress. In the third letter, Lucy discusses money and household matters as well as what is going on at church and in the children’s school. A scrap of wallpaper is enclosed in this letter.
