Scope and Contents
Four letters, in the first Lucy describes what Col. Kellogg was wearing at his funeral in detail, and who has been visiting the house. In the second letter, various clothing and household purchases are described as well as receipts for money forwarded to soldier’s families. In the third letter, Lucy describes her activities involving the garden, money matters, and the family that has been visiting. There is also a letter attached to this letter from Harriet and is about what she is doing in school and what other family is doing. In the fourth letter, Lucy describes an attempt to go to church, updates on family members, and how she is feeling sick.
