Scope and Contents
Four letters and two fabric swatches, all letters have family news and household purchase information in them. In the first letter, Lucy discusses the war and a list of those who have been drafted from town and who are going to go or not. The letter also includes two scraps of fabric. The last three letters describe Lucy’s desire for the war to be over. The second letter describes household tasks done by Lucy. In the third letter, Lucy describes some local deaths and funerals. In the fourth letter, Lucy describes church activity as well about some questions about Winthrop’s regiment.
