Scope and Contents
Two letters, in the first letter Lucy talks about people who have recently enlisted and the health of friends. There are four letters (one from each of the children) attached to this letter. Winthrop E. describes various activities, Edward talks about Winthrop E. staying home that winter, Harriet describes a festival and a church meeting, and Frances’s letter is just doodles. In the second letter, Lucy describes the end of the revival and the converts. This letter also contains attached letters from Edward Phelps and Frances Phelps. Edward talks about Mr. Oaks visiting and getting a new sled. Frances dictated her letter and was written by Lucy, it describes her visits to friends.
