Scope and Contents
This folder contains three letters. The first regards packages sent to Winthrop, where the former family horse is, and the death of Mr. Woodward. Also attached to this letter there was a letter for a call for names for the Triennial Catalogue of the Union Theological Seminary and another letter attached to give money for an alumni professorship to the Seminary. In the second letter, Lucy talks about the church, telling Winthrop to be careful, and the death of their cat, Old Nettie. This letter also contains letters attached by Edward Phelps, who describes going to school, and Winthrop E. Phelps, who talks about family, friends, and going to a donation. In the third letter, Lucy talks about church, visits from friends and family, and going to the “Old Folks Concert.”
