Scope and Contents
3 letters, in the first letter Winthrop describes how he misses Lucy and recalls the times they used to talk in bed together. He also talks about church, news of camp, and the regiment moving to Fort [Corcharan]. In the second letter, Winthrop discusses how the regiment is on the move again and that he doesn’t know where they are going. In the third letter, he talks about Col. Smith and his battle to keep a vow of temperance. He also talks about a religious conversation with a soldier, money matters, and things going on at home.
