3 letters, in the first letter Winthrop describes the regiment moving to Cold Harbor, Va. He describes an ensuing battle and tells of Col. Kellogg’s death. In the second letter, Winthrop describes a break in the action, prisoner take, those wounded, what camp life is like. In the third letter, Winthrop describes the regiment leaving Cold Harbor, the new Colonel of the regiment, and soldiers stealing.
