Scope and Contents
3 letters, in all three letters Winthrop describes the movements of the regiment and camp conditions. In the first he asks Lucy to write more often. In the second letter Winthrop discusses food, money matters, prayer meetings, and questions about the children. He also describes a house they pass when marching, and the provisions they take from it. In the third letter, he talks about Col. Kellogg’s body and the children.
