3 letters, each of these letters is written by John M. Morris on behalf of the journal, The Connecticut War Record. In the first letter, John talks about Winthrop needing to get his article in sooner now and the possibility of paying him for his articles. The second letter contains receipts, the journal’s records, and John’s appreciation for Winthrop’s work. In the third letter John talks about subscribers and asks Winthrop to ask the soldiers about their feelings on victory and Lincoln’s assassination.
