1 sermon book, this sermon or address was given at the funeral of Captain E.R. Lee. Attached to the back inside cover of the book are two newspaper clippings. One is an article from [i]The Evening Press[/i] describing the funeral of Captain E.R. Lee. The article describes Winthrop’s address as “patriotic.” The other article is a printed list of resolutions from the Hartford City Guard, saying that they will mourn Captain Lee, give their sympathies to his family, and take charge of his funeral.
