4 letters, in the first letter Maria talks about the possibility of going to stay with Lucy for a period of time when Winthrop is away. She also writes about events in the Civil War, the draft, and asks about Lucy’s children. In the second letter, Maria sends a note that she is on her way to visit Lucy and about the route she will take. In the third letter, Maria talks about what Lucy’s children are doing, her disappointment Lucy has not returned, those drafted, and news of friends. In the fourth letter, Maria discusses how Arthur Robinson’s body was removed from his burial plot and how she and Lucy should get it put back.
