Letter from an unknown person [the bottom of the letter with the signature has been torn off] to James Morris asking that Morris assist John La Gatta [a Hessian soldier] who is being sued by Capt. Taylor, as he is ignorant of "our customs" and doesn't speak much English. Dated Litchfield, July 15, 1790.
