Masefield, J to Bull, F. Kingsbury - September 3, 1935
Scope and Contents
File 13. One item. On September 3, 1935, a year after Dorothy Bull's death, John Masefield wrote her older brother, Frederick Kingsbury Bull (1884-1968), thanking him for "the little mementos of Dorothy". Masefield had not seen Bull "for a long time" and had not heard news of her death while "in Australia". Despite this, Masefield reports having "often thought and talked" of Dorothy Bull with his family. With his wishes to send flowers for Dorothy's grave, Masefield adds that "We wished her little school all happy fortune...[and]...felt that in the school she had found her life's work...".
