Scope and Contents
Lollingdon, Cholsey, Berks Nov 26. 1916. Masefield forwards mail including a doctor’s letter, reporting that the American Ambulance Hospital in Neuilly has ‘deserving soldiers in plenty’, and a receipt for the purchase of an artificial leg, for veteran amputee “M. Leborgne”. Masefield annotates the letter with text of his reply to the doctor.
