Masefield offers Bull further feedback on topic of whether she is justified in trying to write; notes that discouragement is part of the artist’s ‘game’; cites Browning, Blake; affirms Bull’s ‘original talent’ as unlike anybody or anything else; recognizes that Bull’s writing gives him ‘and other people a lot of pleasure’; insists Bull remain bold and resolute and wishes her luck ‘always’.
