Scope and Contents
Note dated 18 Jan 1820 promising to pay Samuel Flewwelling six hundred and eighty three dollars on or before the first day of May next with interest from the date enclosed in a letter to Marcus Lockwood informing him that Flewelling has note, Boardman is sending two hundred and four dollars which he will deliver to Mr. William W. Boardman at the home of Daniel Boardman, Broadway, New York to be paid over to Mr. Flewelling. Boardman notes that if he wishes, Lockwood could call on Flewwelling at the City Bank on Wall Street, ask for the note and pay the balance.
