Scope and Contents

Letter dated June 21, 1836 signed F.A.H. written from Providence to Cornelia E. Boardman. Writer apologizes for not writing sooner and notes preoccupation with severe illness of her mother. Notes that as the warm weather approaches, she expects to find Cornelia in New Milford. Reports that Mary Taylor is married and her two sisters are engaged. Remarks on the death of Mr. Watkinson. Reports on summer plans that Mr. H. wishes to be in New Haven to attend a class meeting and that she will probably accompany him. Expects a visit from Cornelia the following autumn. Mrs. Ives would also like to see her. Also expects to see Cornelia in New Haven at commencement. Mr. H departs for Newport on business before the general assembly so she must close.
