HILL CREST, BOAR’S HILL, OXFORD. Undated [1924?]. Masefield thanks Bull for her kind letter; reports a Mr. Northrup having wooed him to come to America, ‘not quite so witchingly as’ Bull, but with talent and perseverance; laments ocean travel; wishes for wings instead; asks Bull to come to England; encloses ‘Christmas woodcut’ done by daughter Judith; pens potentially controversial verses; closes with greetings to Bull’s aunts, brother, and friend Henry Cor’t.
