Cornelia E. Boardman writes to her sister Caroline Boardman Schroeder from Baltimore. She notes that there was nothing worthwhile to write as the girls have written frequently; have been kept entirely busy as the people are the most hospitalble in the world; the ball was on Thursday; spent Saturday evening with Mis Schley; Sunday was church; Monday visited Mrs. Lee; Tuesday MRs Turnbull; Wednesday Henry Taylers; Thursday Wm Schroeder; Friday R. A. Taylers; Saturday Mrs. McKims; Sunday to St. Paul's cathedral and the girls to Dr. John's. Notes that the previous night William and Henrietta took tea with them and that tonight they will go to William Alfrets. Have had pleasant visits and elegant dinners; describes Mrs. R.A. Their daughter Laura died at the age of 4); Mr. R.A. Taylor makes a great fuss of Nele's playing; Charles and Henry come often; William has not been he and his wife were at his father's, were polite but didn't ask them to call. Henry's wife comes often and they like her very much; her sister is to become a Romanist; talk of going to Frederick; hope to take Henrietta to Mary Schley; asks Miss Swift to put some of her flowers in her book; the girls are well and happy and it is a pleasure to Eliza to have them here.
