 File — Box: LHS 64, Folder: 4

Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

The records of the director relate to all activities of the Society and the researcher is advised to examine them in addition to records found in other series. These files consist of correspondence and documentation pertaining to the buildings, exhibitions, educational and public programs, personnel, reference questions, and many others. The bulk of these records are in the subseries, Director's office files, which were maintained by the first five directors of the Society: John Page, William Warren, Lockett Ford Ballard, Robert Gerald Carroon, Neil Larson, and Catherine Keene Fields. (Chronologically, Ballard was followed by Carroon, was rehired after Carroon left, and was rehired a third time after Larsen left. Fields followed Ballard's third term.) Additional records from Fields' tenure are found following the Directors office files.
