Scope and Contents
Henry Mason Boardman and his wife Sarah Hall Benham Boardman write to Henry's sister Cornelia E. Boardman from Boardman, OH. Sarah sends stocking yarn for Elijah; notes she would be happy to furnish the yarn if Gramma would like to knit her granddaugthers stockings; also sends candy which she hopes will be unbroken and asks that she send some to Flushing to their nieces; asks about Mr. Haight accepting an appointment with a Theological Seminary; notes that there is now a minister in Warren which is 20 miles from them; discusses their differing beliefs about temperance societies. Henry writes that they have been to church and in the absence of the minister he read the servic and sermons and describes what other towns churches they attend.
