Samuel Averill and Partridge Thacher have undertaken to procure from the governor and council of the province of New Hampshire a township for themselves and the subscribers situated on the Onion River or otherwise known as the French River. The terms of subscription are described and the document contains the signatures of the subscribers, some of which are notated, "Paid by Quit."
