Scope and Contents
1778 FEB 12 Isaac Baldwin, clerk of the court, commands the Litchfield County Sheriff or his Deputy to summons Benjamin Adams of Kent, private of the Company of Light Horse in the 5th Regiment of the Militia of the State, to appear before the Litchfield County Court on the fourth Tuesday of March. The charge against Adams is "Neglect and Refusal to muster and march" to Fairfield as ordered on 1777 JUL 19 by Captain Agus Curtis and issued by Major Thomas Bull. 1778 MAR 10 Isaac Camp, Constable of Kent, states he has served the writ in the hearing of Benjamin Adams.
