Scope and Contents
Five letters, from Lucius Smith to Benjamin Tallmadge and from Tallmadge to Smith; and from Tallmadge and Benjamin Tallmadge Jr. to Cushman.
The letters between Tallmadge and Smith concern a financial dispute. To Cushman, the Tallmadges relate social and financial news; Tallmadge Sr. also remarks on his feelings at recollecting scenes from the Revolutionary War.
The last letter is appended by a note from Maria (Hallett) Tallmadge to Maria (Tallmadge) Cushman, relating social and family news.
