Scope and Contents
Bills, receipts and correspondence from the firm of Hotchkiss, Towner & Atwater in New Haven, Conn. to Elihu Harrison, merchant, in Litchfield. The latter purchased snuff, Skin and Hyson Tea, nutmegs, casks of wine. A December 13, 1832 letter reports the dissolution of the firm of Hotchkiss, Towner & Atwater to be succeeded by Towner & Atwater in a store adjoining their old stand on the corner of State and Chapel Streets. Said firm will continue to keep an assortment of groceries.
