Bills, receipts and correspondence from Wooster Hotchkiss in New Haven, Conn. to Elihu Harrison in Litchfield. The later purchased salt, coal, cassia, wine, and other merchandise. A letter dated December 20, 1832 from Wooster Hotchkiss introduces the new firm of Hotchkiss & Whittelsey. Mr. Whittelsey was in the house of Huggins & Whittelsey. The new firm is at the old stand of Hotchkiss, Towner & Atwater.
