Bills, receipts, and correspondence from the firm of Samuel Hughes & Son in New Haven, Conn. to Elihu Harrison and the firm of Harrison & Parmelee in Litchfield. Purchased merchandise included brass kettles, pencils, files, portable furnaces, and cotton batting. A leter dated Nov. 21, 1825 asks if Mr. Harrison can supply them with butter and cheese of superior quality and 2-3 years old.
