Bills, receipts and correspondence from Parker & Smith in New Haven to Elihu Harrison for goods purchased by Harrison including chocolate, gin, rice, nails, and tobacco. Some of Harrison's orders were conveyed by Mr. Carrington. A note from Parker & Smith dated 25 May 1829 reports that the canal is in operation except for a bit of water for the boats.
