Scope and Contents
Detailed accounting and correspondence between Reed & Lee in New York and Harrison & Parmelee concerning cheese sent by the latter for sale by Reed & Lee. Includes names of people to whom the cheese was sold, expenses, numbers of casks and boxes, and prices. In the fall of 1826, Harrison shipped 5533 pounds of cheese . Reed & Lee sold $441.20 worth of cheese in Nov. & Dec. 1826. Some of the names recorded by Harrison, apparently those from whom he received the cheese are: Beecher, Alf Peck, Stone, E. Marsh, J. Steel, C. Catlin, J. Stevens, J. A. Merriman, and B. Webster, Jr.
