Biographical / Historical
Walter, Cobb, and Company was a woolen manufacturer in Goshen, Connecticut. The company operated from 1814-1826. The company sold broadcloth in Philadelphia. In 1814, Lewis M. Norton became a parter in the firm and he remained until it closed, inventing a power loom the company used in manufacturing in Wolcottville (Torrington) CT.
