Biographical or Historical Information
Isabel Foster Murphy was the wife of George J. Murphy and daughter of Frederick Foster, station master at the Litchfield Station.
Note found in the collection: "Mr. Foster came to Litchfield about 1910. At first he lived in rooms on the second floor in the station. After his wife and daughter came from Bristol, Conn. to join him, he lived across the road in the building used in 1952 by the George J. Switzer Co. as an office."
