Letter from Frederick E. Haight to his mother, Anne Lyon Haight on St. Anthony Club stationery postmarked New York July 13, 1940. Notes that he was sorry not to see more of her and requests that she send him some of his laundry. Writes that he read in the newspaper that four divisions of the National Guard are being called out but thinks and hopes his will not. Says it will ruin his business hopes and affect his hunting. He will not change his plans until something definite happens. He may come home for a day the next week.
