Biographical / Historical
James F. Finan (1922-1998). He was born November 8, 1922, in Litchfield, and moved to Vero Beach in 1990. He was a sales representative for Silliter-Holden in West Hartford, a member of the Elks Club in Vero Beach, the American Legion in Bantam, the American Society of Carbide Engineers in Hartford, and the Litchfield Volunteer Fire Department in Litchfield. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in the 1259th Combat Engineers in the European theatre of operations.
