Biographical / Historical
Malachi Tracy (1840-1906) was born in Ireland and came to the United States in 1859, settling in Litchfield, CT, where he became a farmer. He married Catherine Dwyer Tracy (1837-1894) and they had a daughter, Johanna. For several years, he was a selectman in Litchfield. By 1893, Tracy he had relocated to Torrington, CT.
