The Thomas Hogan papers (originally named the Thomas Hogan Litchfield Schools Planning Committee papers) includes documentation of his work on that committee, as well as accruals documenting Hogan's work as a member of the Litchfield Board of Selectmen, Litchfield School Board, and Litchifeld Democratic Town Committee.

Thus far, the Litchfield Schools Planning Committee papers is the only series that has been processed. They document the Committee's work to formulate options for the renovation and expansion of Litchfield's intermediate and high schools. The committee met in 2002 and early 2003, submitting its final report in February. Litchfield attorney Thomas Hogan was a member of the committee, and the collection consists of his records, which include news clippings, Board of Education minutes, Hogan's remarks and letters to the editor, Building Committee minutes, legal research, educational specifications, Litchfield Intermediate School renovation analysis, correspondence, minutes, proposals, work papers, background data, reports to the Board of Education, and Litchfield Public Schools Pre K-12 School Facilities Study written by Jeeter, Cook and Jepson, Architects, Inc.
