Scope and Contents
The Ida Pidgeon autograph album (1973-63-0) belonged to Ida Pidgeon of Sharon, Connecticut. She received the small album on March 30, 1930 from Mr. M. Gillette when she was in the sixth grade. The small album contains signatures and versus from family members and friends between the years 1930 and 1954. Many of the versus are humerous ryhmes. Ida Pidgeon was the daughter of farmer William J. Pidgeon and his wife Lily M. Pidgeon. William and Lily, both natives of England, had one son and two daughters while residing in Connecticut. William was a farmer in Sharon, Connecticut. The item is currently housed in 3A Box 18.
