This series contains personal accounts, bills, and receipts. The first subseries contains the personal estate papers of members of the Woodruff family, while the second subseries contains the papers of third party individuals. The subseries have been arranged alphabetically.

Many of the letters in this subseries are from Woodruff's brother, Lewis B. Woodruff, and concern financial affairs, including debt collections, discussions about investments, and Lewis's assistance with Woodruff's law practice. Also includes genealogical correspondence.

The first subseries contains primarily land deeds, including an extensive collection of land transactions by Morris Woodruff and his business partner Simeon Harrison.
