Scope and Contents This blotter containes entries for the same variety of goods as other blotters in the series. This volume contains several unusual entries, including one for opium and "Niagura Wood" which may refer to Nicaragua Wood which was used for dyeing textiles. There are two mentions of African Americans, one on 7 August 1805 lists "Negro" as purchasing nankeen, butter, molds, and stick twist. No name is given and payment was cash.
