The Anson Dickinson Sketch Book collection (1951-03-2) is a sketch book containing over seventy sketches. Most of the sketches are of figures in the nude with classical drapery. Some of the sketches are for engravings. Also part of the collection is a letter in which Dickinson describes his views on art and the idea of  a painter.

His account book records monetary transactions made by him, as well as cash transactions he received from other individuals. Born in January of 1821, Mr. Dickinson was married to Harriet Dickinson and the couple resided in Litchfield, Connecticut. A handwritten copy of the words (3 verses) and music for a hymn with the title "Dismission". The first 2 lines of the first verse are: "Lord dismiss us with thy blessing, Bid us all depart in peace." This hymn was printed by Robert Hawker (1753-1827) in a hymnal "Psalms and hymns sung by children of the Sunday school in the Parish church of Charles, Plymouth" printed about 1811.

On April 8, 1922, Martin J. Donahue opened a clothing and shoe store called Donahue's in L. R. Denegar's former location in the Beach block on West St. In March, 1936, he became postmaster of Litchfield. He died in 1946. The records consist of customer account cards, 1922-1937.
