Biography
Harry E. Roe was executed by the State of Connecticut by hanging on March 3, 1916 at the Wethersfield State prison following a murder conviction. A coroner's report indicates that he was 22 at the time and lists his race as "colored" and gender as male. A newspaper account of the court assigning an attorney to Roe's case gives his race as, "mulatto."
