Biography
Harriet Lucretia Grant was born on September 9 1814 in Litchfield, to parents Charles Grant and Hannah McNeil Grant. She attended the Female Academy from 1829 to 1831. After her time there Harriet became a teacher in and around the Litchfield area. She was listed as living in the household of her brother David McNeil Grant in the 1860, 1870, and 1880 census. She died on January 3 1892 in Litchfield at age 77. She was buried in East Burying Ground Cemetery, also in Litchfield.
