Scope and Contents
James Seymour (1791-1864) was the son of Samuel Seymour, a brother of Maj. Moses Seymour. James was an organizer, cashier, and president of the Bank of Rochester. In the 1830s, he turned his attention to settlements in Michigan, moving there in 1845.
