Wheelock writes that she is glad her mother is having a pleasant visit. She has reassigned bedrooms for the children and reports on activities in their home. She reports news of friends and family. She received a letter from Charley; he was in the Battle of Williamsburg and says he cannot see how he escaped being killed or wounded.
