Letters to Catherine C. Hopkins [Kate] in the Northfield section of Litchfield, Connecticut. Most of the envelopes are addressed to Miss Catherine C. Hopkins, while the salutation in the letter refers to her as Kate. Some of the letters from her friends i.e. Caroline, Carrie, Maria, and Jenny suggest that attended school together in Washington, Conn. at Miss Brinsmade's school [Judea Female Seminary] prior to April 1849.
