Scope and Contents
Pages unnumbered, the first alphabetical listing is of "Balances due on E. Boardman's Books" September 1, 1810. Includes several notations near entries, including that Andrew Bostwick is the School Master; there is a listing for the "New Connecticut Setttlement" and one for the New Milford and Litchfield Turnpike Company as well as one for stock in a carding machine and one for Tapping Reeve. Boardman again separates African Americans with a listing for thirteen individuals titled "Negros" at the end of the balances. With the exception of one name which appears in 1808 but not here, the names are the same. Following this is a listing of company balances; unliquedated accounts including a backsmith shop owned by EB & J Wells and a fulling mill in Ohio; balances due on E. Boardman's notes; foreign notes; E. BOardman's company notes; and New Preston notes.
