Elijah Boardman's Blotter, begins New Milford 31 August 1795
In addition to articles listed in the series description, this volume contains an entry for cheese and butter dated October 19, 1795. It was sent to Captain Amos Hubbell for shipment to the West Indies on Hubbell's new vessel, captained by his son Wilson Hubbell, as well as entries for butter shipped to New York for sale by Boardman and Hunt.
Artist Ralph Earl is listed as buying a quart of rum on November 24, 1795 and a Japan ink stand, three quills and a jew's harp two days later. Later entries include a discount with Anne Plath to be paid in goods, and one for raisins. He is not documented as having painted locally at that time.
The blotter contains entries for Litchfield merchants Boardman and Seymour and Wadsworth and Kirby.
